This study aims to examine the views of Yaqub b. Ibrahim al-Ansari al-Kufi, also known as Abu Yusuf, regarding the role of the state in determining economic market mechanisms during the early Abbasid era. Abu Yusuf was a renowned scholar in Islamic jurisprudence and economics, and made significant contributions to Islamic legal thought and economic activities. This article analyzes Abu Yusuf's approach to market regulation, price control, and protection of economic rights of the people within the framework of Islamic values. Through this study, we gain insights into his views and approaches that provide significant insights into the relationship between the state and the market in traditional Islamic economics, which remains relevant in the context of modern economies grounded in Sharia-compliant systems. Additionally, the study aims to explain how the state functions to ensure stability, justice, and efficiency in the economy through various interventions in every activity carried out to ensure stability and activities that have a good impact on society. References to theories and studies from Abu Yusuf's works have been used to structure the study for a comprehensive analysis of the state's role in determining economic market mechanisms
