This article focuses on the effectiveness of education and spiritual rehabilitation in Henry Gurney School (SHG) Telok Mas Melaka. Education and spiritual rehabilitation are programs which will be carried out by SHG residents to correct all past mistakes and thus make SHG residents better prepared to continue living later when they are released. Effectiveness is seen through the activities participated by the residents, namely formal education and informal education. 1The important essence of the effectiveness of this education and spiritual recovery is to ensure that the occupants can balance present and future education. Eventually SHG residents can live their new lives without repeating past mistakes as a result of the knowledge gained during their living in Henry Gurney School.
