The present study examined the relationship between strategic thinking effectiveness and development of entrepreneurship among North Khorassan Islamic Azad universities’ staff. The method employed in the study was correlative and was of descriptive nature. In this applied study, the data were gathered from a population of 169 North Khorassan Islamic Azad universities’ employees selected out of 300 staff by using stratified random sampling based on Morgan Scale. The method of data collection was documentary-field where the instrumentation was a ‘questionnaire’ based on Likert. In the present research, attempts were made to examine the concepts of effective strategic thinking components including learning from the organizational environment, need analysis, and creating innovative strategies whose impact was investigated on the staff’s innovation and entrepreneurship. The findings revealed that there existed a significant relationship between learning from the organizational environment, need analysis, and creating innovative strategies and development of staff’s entrepreneurship. The ultimate purpose of strategic thinking development that is to foster the entrepreneurship among an organization’s staff was significantly approved in the present research.
