Motivations for Learning Arabic for Non-native Speakers in Sudan and their Justifications: A Field Study of Students at the Arabic Language Institute at the Arab States University in Sudan, and Students at the Arabic Language Institute for Non-Native Speakers at the Sudan Open University

No doubt learning the Arabic language has become one of the important matters in our practical and practical life, and many individuals of different ages, needs, and cultures have turned to it, so we find that their motives for learning the Arabic language are different as well. In this paper, we reveal the reasons and motivations why students choose to study in Sudan by interviewing a random sample of students studying at the Khartoum International Institute, Sudan Open University, and the Institute for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers. The results showed that most students prefer to study in Sudan due to the religious, political, geographical, economic, historical, and cultural importance of this region. ?Quality of education programs offered in Sudan. ?No statistically significant differences in their motivation due to gender. ?There is a positive correlation between Arabic proficiency and students' attitudes and motivation.
