The increasing number of SMEs indicated that there is a large potential of export opportunity to other countries by Malaysia. Realizing the 37% of GDP contributions by SMEs, it is essential to understand the challenges and hurdles faced by them when exporting products across country. Specifically the study looks into three main challenges which are distribution access, human capital and market attractiveness as the exogenous variables of this study. A total of 70 questionnaires answered by SMEs owners and managers were derived for this study and a two stage analysis of PLS-SEM consist of measurement and structural analysis was applied for this study. Results have shown that only human capital found to be a challenge for SMEs in Malaysia to export.
