Submission Guidelines

Order of manuscript should be (not all of these elements are necessary to be the part of every manuscript)

  1. Cover letter
  2. Title and title page
  3. Abstract
  4. Introduction
  5. Method
  6. Results
  7. Discussion (also write limitations and implications of your research in this section)
  8. Conclusion
  9. Conflict of interest
  10. Funding details (If applicable)
  11. References

Cover letter:  Mention all the authors including the corresponding author's mailing address, phone and fax numbers (optional), e-mail address; the title; and the names and departmental affiliations of all authors at the time of the research. Please indicate the contribution of every author in the completion of this research.

Font: Calibri 12 point, double-line spaced. Use margins of at least 1 inch.

Title: Use bold for your article title, with an initial capital letter for any proper nouns.

Title page: The title page includes four elements: title, running head, author, institutional affiliation, and author note (which includes grant/funding information and a full correspondence address).

Abstract: The abstract should be a single paragraph and should follow the style of non-structured abstract (between 150-250 words), per APA guidelines.

Keywords: Please provide keywords to help readers find your article. Please provide five or six.

Running heads: Are not required when submitting a manuscript for review.

Headings: Please indicate the level of the section headings in your article according to the following APA Guidelines for details please see the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 6th edition, http://www.apastyle.org/ and http://blog.apastyle.org/.

  1. First-level headings (e.g. Introduction, Conclusion) should be in bold, with an initial capital letter for any proper nouns.
  2. Second-level headings should be in bold italics, with an initial capital letter for any proper nouns.
  3. Third-level headings should be in italics, with an initial capital letter for any proper nouns.
  4. Fourth-level headings should be in bold italics, at the beginning of a paragraph. The text follows immediately after a full stop (full point) or other punctuation mark.
  5. Fifth-level headings should be in italics, at the beginning of a paragraph. The text follows immediately after a full stop (full point) or other punctuation mark.

Tables and Figures:  Tables and figures should be formatted according to APA guidelines for details please see the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 6th edition, http://www.apastyle.org/ and http://blog.apastyle.org/.

Illustrations: Illustrations submitted (line drawings, halftones, photos, photomicrographs, etc.) should be clean originals or digital files. Digital files are recommended for highest quality reproduction and should follow these guidelines:

  • 300 dpi or higher
  • Sized to fit on journal page
  • EPS, TIFF, or PSD format only

In-text Citation and Referencing: Please use the APA (American Psychological Association) referencing style. For detailed information, please see the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 6th edition, http://www.apastyle.org/ and http://blog.apastyle.org/.

Conflict of Interest: “Declaration of Conflicting Interests,” specify any potential conflicting interests. If there is no conflicting interest, include the following text: The author(s) declared no potential conflicts of interest with respect to the research, authorship, and/or publication of this article.

Funding:  Authors must list, under the heading “Funding,” all funding sources. If the research was funded, the statement should read:

The author(s) disclosed receipt of the following financial support for the research, authorship, and/or publication of this article: Preparation of this manuscript was supported by Grant xxxxxx from xxxxxx.

If the work described in the manuscript received no financial support, include the statement: The author(s) received no financial support for the research, authorship, and/or publication of this article.
