Under the background of globalization and cross-cultural communication, Miao batik decorative motifs, as an important part of China's intangible cultural heritage, are facing the dual challenges of inheritance and development. However, the existing research is only limited to the visual analysis of batik motifs, ignoring the social and cultural context of batik, the concrete creative process and the localized aesthetic philosophy, resulting in fragmented interpretations of batik motifs. This study, through existing literature, conducts a systematic analysis and integration of academic literature on Miao batik decorative motifs, pragmatic aesthetics, and cultural narratives, and constructs a new interdisciplinary theoretical framework to assist fashion designers in the innovative design and application of Miao batik decorative motifs. Research shows that this theoretical framework maximizes the understanding of the cultural narrative of Miao batik decorative motifs, simplifies the research process, improves research efficiency, and provides strong support for the protection and innovation of Miao batik culture.
